Hi Everyone,
I just updated the website and am off to rehearsal with the band. thought you might like to know who the new members of the “Retros” are.
He has been with us for a while, Ray Arthur on piano has really added to the sound.
On the drums, we are lucky to have gotten Gary Renzetti, who also sings great and has been in the music biz most of his life.
Holding down a solid bassline is Chuck Murcko. He also has a long history of working with bands from coast to coast.
Get out and hear some of the new songs we are playing. See you there!

Hey Everyone,
Just want to thank everyone for the support, you all have been great. Have been giving out copies of the Retros CD, but thanks to those who made a contribution to cover the costs. If you have not got one, hit me up at one of the gigs, or send me an e-mail and we will work out a way for you to get a copy. Our next gig will be at the “10/12 Lounge” on Sunday August 14th, from 5 to 9 pm. Hope to see you there, come out, dance and have some fun.

Hey All,
Thought it was time to post another blog!!!! We will be at the Old Corral in Cornville this Saturday (2/6/10), and playing drums will be Ray Yates, who has become a crowd fav, and Bill Falcon on bass guitar and vocals, he is also been a great asset to the band.
We have our CD available on request, and plan on doing another live recording on April 11th at the the “O.C.” That will be a benefit for a fellow musician ( and former Retro) “Clay Harper”. Put that on your day planner, and see you there!

It was one of those gigs that did not get the publicity, but enough people knew we we there that made for a good time. The band had a good night, and things got going right off the bat. The weather last Saturday (November 3rd) was great, and the crowd hung out both inside and out. Like to thank Larry Williams on drums and Donn Mowrey on bass for doing a good job with the rythym section duties and adding harmonies. It was a very good looking crowd, with some exceptional looking ladies getting out on the dance floor, thanks for entertaining all the men and the guys in the band! Hope to see you all the Rockin B this coming Friday night.

Blogging has not been the top priority lately but here I am again. The weekend is going to be action packed. We have the Smoke Out starting Friday the 6th of October, the band will be at The Old Corral on Saturday night (9 to 1), then at the benefit for Danny Rhodes on Sunday (we play at 4 pm), hope to see you somewhere, so get out and have fun.

Just a note to thank the folks who came out to Cornville last Saturday, that was the evening of the day Marshall-Tucker played in Cottonwood. Some people made both of those gigs, and others just came out that night. We had myself on guitar and sax, Bill on guitar and pedal, Dave Rentz on drums, and Randy Knapp on bass. We will be taking a week off, but will be back at Kactus Kate’s on the 29th of September. Coming up is a benefit at Relic’s in Sedona for Danny Rhodes, we will play at 4 p.m., but music will go from noon to midnight. See you there!

Thanks to everyone who came out and made Sunday (Sept 2) such a great nite. The 10/12 hosted the Retros for their regular Sunday gig, and the place filled up early, people started dancing, and the party was on. Thanks to Denny Marek on lead guitar, Jeff Scrima on Bass, Dave Rentz on Drums, and Roger Curry on Guitar and Sax. We called it “Retros version 3″ , good players make good music. It has been a while since we have had a weekend off, will just have to enjoy it, and look forward to the gig at the 10/12 Lounge in Sept. I just got back from a few days in Laughlin, and noticed the lack of a local music scene. We have it good in the Verde Valley, so get out and support local entertainment. There is talk about an upcoming event to help the VFW get funds to put up a flagpole. May be sometime in October, will put up announcements on the web page when details are final………………Later.
